First off, we owe a big thank you to everyone who helped make
the Cougars
and Kittens 2002 calendar project such a success.
This year's calendar looks great, has sold well, and has raised
a good deal of money for the Red Cross' "September 11th
Fund." Special thanks are due to Ford Motor Company, John
Eagle Lincoln-Mercury-Isuzu, Mustang and Fords magazine,
Creative Type and Graphics, and Primedia Publishing for all their help.
The big news at the moment is that we've just finished working with
46 bright, talented, and (oh, by the way...) gorgeous young women who
competed in the Miss Austin USA and
Miss Teen Austin USA 2002 pageants.
Congratulations to Andria Mullins and Jennifer Amezcua, who won the two
top spots and will go on to compete at the state level later this year.
As a side note, the boss finds the photo at right (with Miss Austin 2001, Mandy
Jeffreys and Miss Austin 2002, Andria Mullins) enormously funny. He thought
to have it taken to promote the business and our involvement with the Miss
Austin USA and Miss Austin Teen USA pageant. He figured that as an Ivy
Leauger, he'd be right at home in a tux. But he forgot that only one of those
three Dartmouth degrees was in the arts - and that the other two were in
electrical engineering. So, like Dilbert, he still can't get his tie to
behave itself.
